MARGAO: A 47th-minute strike by Musab Shaikh secured Dempo Sports Club a narrow 1-0 victory over Salgaocar FC in the AIFF Junior League 2025–26 at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Wednesday.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides creating several scoring opportunities but failing to convert their gilt-edged chances. After the break, the teams intensified their attacks in search of a winner.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 47th minute, when Musab Shaikh capitalized on a lapse by the Salgaocar goalkeeper, slotting home a neat finish to hand Dempo all three points.
