Students from the Shotokan Karate-Do Japan Federation-India (SKJFI) Karate School, Margao delivered a stellar performance at the Ashihara International Karate Championship 2026, securing a total of 23 medals – including 12 Gold, 5 Silver, and 6 Bronze – across Kata and Kumite events.
The championship, organized by the Ashihara Karate Association of Goa, featured competitions in both Sports Karate and Traditional Karate, and was held at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, Margao.
The medal winners from SKJFI Margao included: Arushi Prabhugaonkar, Kanishka Dilkhush Velip, Triveni Naik, Arushi Jamuni, Srisha Shirodkar, Alyssa Rodrigues, Nidhi Gaonkar, Adira Naik, Rohit Singh, Shreeyash Karekar, Aditya Hegde, Atharv Prabhugaonkar, Manjit Sakappanavar, and Tanay Timani.
All students trained under SKJFI Chief Instructor of Goa, Gaurish Dattaram Dabholkar (Blackbelt, 6th Dan), whose guidance contributed to their success.
