MARGAO: Santa Cruz Boys, Sirvodem advanced to the quarterfinals of the TYC Trophy Football Tournament after registering a narrow 1–0 victory over Bolero Boys, Telaulim, organised by the Telaulim Youth Club, at the Government Primary School ground, Telaulim, on Wednesday.
Malik Rehan emerged as the hero for Santa Cruz Boys, scoring the decisive goal that sealed the win for his side.
For his match-winning performance, Malik Rehan was awarded the Man of the Match prize by Floriano Pires, former goalkeeper of United Club of Telaulim.
