United Boys of Ambaulim edged past Navelim Villagers 7-6 in a thrilling encounter at the XIX Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, held at CRC Chinchinim Ground.
Ambaulim took an early lead, heading into halftime 1-0. The second half saw end-to-end action, with both sides exchanging goals in a high-scoring contest. For United Boys, Winston, Dailon, Sowell, Aitino, Cyril Mutew, and Jesvan were on the scoresheet, while Navelim Villagers’ goals came from Melinton, Richard, Aden, Sherkock, Samir, and Elision.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Sewell Fernandes of United Boys of Ambaulim by Newton Leitao, in recognition of his outstanding performance that helped his team clinch the victory.
