United Boys Ambaulim secured a place in the quarterfinals of the Curtorim Villagers Cup 2025 with a convincing 3–1 victory over Sao Jose de Areal in a match played on Wednesday at the St. Alex Church Ground, Curtorim. The tournament is being organised by Curtorim Gymkhana.
Ambaulim started strongly, opening the scoring in the 15th minute through Joel Baretto, who calmly slotted home to make it 1–0. Just two minutes later, Bradley Carvalho doubled the lead with a fine strike, giving Ambaulim a 2–0 advantage.
Sao Jose de Areal responded in the 29th minute, when Azilton Viegas pulled one back to reduce the deficit to 2–1 before the halftime whistle.
In the second half, Sao Jose de Areal pressed hard in search of an equaliser, but United Boys Ambaulim’s defence stood firm, denying them any clear chances. The match was sealed in the 50th minute when Bradley Carvalho struck again, completing his brace and securing a 3–1 win for Ambaulim.
Bradley Carvalho was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Vincent Rodrigues, Ex-President of Curtorim Gymkhana, and Andrew Baretto, former player of Curtorim Gymkhana.
