United Boys of Ambaulim hammered Uguem Rising Club 4-0 in the final.

United Boys of Ambaulim produced a dominant display to thrash Uguem Rising Club 4-0 and clinch the Lourdes Soccer ’26 title at the Government School Playground.
Cyril Dias put Ambaulim ahead as early as the second minute with a long-range effort that dipped into the net, catching the Uguem goalkeeper off guard. Ambaulim continued to press, with Pratamesh Gaonkar coming close with a header that sailed inches over the crossbar, while Dias missed another chance when his weak attempt was gathered safely by the keeper.
Ambaulim doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Visiton applied the finishing touch to a cross from Joel Barretto.
Uguem Rising Club came out with renewed intent after the break and nearly pulled one back when Maxson’s solo run split the defence before squaring the ball to Aswon Menezes, whose attempt was comfortably collected by goalkeeper Ibon. Despite sustained efforts, Uguem found the Ambaulim defence, led by Crimson Fernandes and Jesvon, difficult to breach.
Ambaulim tightened their grip on the match when Alex combined well with Joel in a one-two move before lofting the ball over the advancing goalkeeper to make it 3-0. Sowell added the fourth in injury time to seal an emphatic victory and lift the Lourdes trophy.
Former international footballer Jacinto D’Silva was the chief guest, while retired customs officer and footballer Agusto D’Silva was the guest of honour. Benjamin Silva, chairman, proposed the vote of thanks.
