Vizzy Trophy to be held in Goa from March 1

The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) will host the prestigious Vizzy Trophy from March 1 to March 7, 2026, in Goa. The tournament will feature inter-zone university teams representing the North, South, East and West Zones of the country, with all matches being played in the One-Day format.

The matches will be conducted at the GCA Ground, Porvorim, and the historic Panjim Gymkhana ground in Panaji.

The tournament will commence on March 1 with North Zone taking on West Zone at the GCA Ground, Porvorim, while East Zone will clash with South Zone at Panjim Gymkhana Ground. On March 3, North Zone will face South Zone at Porvorim, and East Zone will meet West Zone at Panjim Gymkhana. The league stage will conclude on March 5 with North Zone versus East Zone at Porvorim and South Zone versus West Zone at Panjim Gymkhana.

The final, scheduled for March 7 at the GCA Ground, Porvorim, will see the top two teams battling it out for top honours.

The Vizzy Trophy is expected to bring together some of the finest university cricketers from across the country, offering them a valuable platform to showcase their talent and stake claim for higher honours. With competitive fixtures lined up across two prominent venues in Goa, cricket enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting week of quality one-day cricket.
