The waters of the Mandovi River came alive with youthful energy and determination as
Prime Advertising in association with Shiny People recently organised the Mandovi River Crossing Youth Swimming Event. The event showcased the strength and spirit of young swimmers aged between 6 and 16 years.
Participants took on distances of 500 metres and 1 kilometre, navigating the river’s currents under the supervision of trained professionals and safety personnel.
Participants who completed the swim: 1-Kilometre Finishers: Sanvi Chandrakant Shetye, Jhanvika Kunal Sagarkar, Suyog Paresh Thaly
500-Metre Finishers: Kashyap Aayush, Devanshi Maurya, Shlok Kailash Joshi, Ayan Vinod Redkar, Ruhan Hargapure, Elisha Anbu Robinson, Cayden Roque Leitao, Ansh Iyer, Anshika Gautam, Ganika Maurya, Shanta Aliash Nirvi P. Varde, Aariv Malik, Kenisha Ashutosh Naik and Aariv Ashutosh Naik.
The event was graced by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Member of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Goa, who attended as the Chief Guest. Victor Gonsalves, former MLA and Vice President of the Goa Legislators Forum, was the Guest of Honour. He praised the initiative and encouraged more youth participation in water sports.
