Curtains not only enhance the beauty and aura inside a house or at the workplace, but they also help maintain privacy from outsiders. In a way, curtains help to a great extent in setting high goals of finest interiors in living spaces. Curtains for doors and windows of various sizes and designs ultimately become the benchmark of superiority and beauty when used in correct colours and directions.
Curtains add or subtract the positive energies in the house and the workplace. They protect the interior of the house from dust, sun rays and other pollution. The right colour curtains will do away with all the negativities that could try to make their way inside the house.
It is a proven fact that the morning sun rays are beneficial to human health. On the contrary, the afternoon sun rays are very harmful as they impact the energies inside the house which need to be either stopped or avoided from entering.
In order to allow the ultraviolet sun rays to enter the house, thin fabric curtains should be used in the North, North-East and East direction doors and windows. Even if they are shut, the sun rays can still enter the house through such curtains. If possible, they should be kept open in the morning.
Sun moves from South to West from noon to evening. So thick and big curtains should be used in these directions.
This will stop the infra-red rays from entering the house. They should be kept closed in the afternoon if possible.
Following are the colour tips for curtains that may help as per directions.
North: Pastel Blue, Green or Off White
East: White and shades of Yellow
South: Shades of Red and Brown
West: Shades of Dark Blue
North-East: White, Cream, shades of Green
South-East: Red, Orange and Pink
South-West: Shades of Brown
North-West: White and shades of Grey
There are still some universal colour curtains such as white, off white and cream that can be used in any direction of the house. It should be borne in mind that the curtains need not be of one colour entirely. If Blue is considered an auspicious colour in the West direction a combination of Blue and White colour can be utilised for the curtain to meet the goal in that direction.
Care should be taken to avoid black coloured curtains or anything that has shades of black at home and the workplace to avoid gloom, darkness and negativity.
