Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday completed his self-enumeration for the first phase of Census 2027 via the online portal which went live this morning.
Sawant called on citizens to take part in the process before the April 15 deadline. The ground survey of the first phase of house listing is set to commence from April 16.
In an official statement, CM Sawant described the census as the backbone of planning, governance, and inclusive development for both Goa and the nation.
“The census is not just a statistical exercise; it is the foundation for effective planning, inclusive governance, and ensuring that every citizen’s needs are recognised and addressed. From infrastructure and healthcare to education and welfare schemes, accurate data helps us make informed decisions for a stronger and more progressive Goa and the nation,” he said.
The Chief Minister further urged citizens to actively take part in the exercise and make use of the self-enumeration facility available until April 15. He emphasised that public participation is crucial in shaping policies that reflect the true aspirations of the people.
