Chain snatchers have returned back to target women in Davorlim village in Salcete taluka. As many as two chain snatching incidents have been reported in the last few days.
In fact, Tuesday saw a lone motorcycle-borne miscreant successfully snatching a gold chain of a woman, who had just left her house to buy bread in the morning.
While returning home, the woman was blocked by the accused person, who snatched her gold chain and escaped.
Sources said a similar incident had taken place around May 25 in the same village when motorcycle borne miscreants successfully snatched a chain of a 60-year old woman who was heading to the church for the early morning mass.
