Formalin in our fish. What next?

It was shocking, though not new, to hear that we’re being  fed cancerous substances in our fish, fruits and vegetables. Unsurprisingly, this seems  to be okay with some of the authorities who turn a blind eye, or don’t  do enough to stop it, as we find these things happening every now and  then.

We appreciate those who have exposed the formalin in  fish scam. It’s ironical that formalin which is used to preserve dead bodies is now being used to kill living ones! We urge the government to wake up and not let this go by. Banning such produce coming from other states is not enough.

The law  breakers and all those involved in injecting poison into our foods  need to be away put behind bars for a sufficiently long time, so they’ll  well understand the seriousness of the issue.  It will also deter others who may have similar evil intentions.

The doctors at Tata memorial were baffled by the high rate of cancer  cases in Goa despite the people leading a healthy life style and low  consumption of tobacco, etc. It’s because people freely inject our  foodstuff with poison, and get away with it each time.

And we wonder why cancers are on the rise. Wake up Goa.

The CM tweeted that he was personally monitoring the…
