The result of the CCP elections in Panaji has been received with mixed feelings. Some opine that it is a blow of sorts for the BJP. But others feel, if the BJP had been decimated, it would have been an exemplary lesson for Parrikar and company who are already fearing the worst in the next Assembly elections. Right now, the Congress that played a spoilsport and earned a zero can only claim that it was their glory to hit the zero like the ancient Indians. To me the message is clear:- Luizinho and Madkaikar ought to accept the blame for the debacle and resign forthwith.
For once let’s take the example of AAP which did not field candidates in the CCP elections not to divide the anti-BJP vote and secure BJP’S total extermination. Anyway, for the next Assembly elections, let’s devise a common strategy and remember that only if we are united we can make BJP bite the dust.

Disciplinary action
Sporting de Clube was on receiving end from the match official on March 6 at Fatorda Stadium. It is acceptable that referees are also human beings and so they are likely to commit errors. Unfortunately, bad decisions by some referees can change the result of the match, as it happened during ISL match between Chennai and FC Goa. And now it happened again. There were so many bookable offences during the match but only the Sporting de Clube players were shown the yellow cards. It was glaring to notice that one of the fouls was committed by the opposite player from behind but yellow card was shown to the victim. The referees commit the mistakes, destroy the team spirit and then go scot free. The All India Football Federation Disciplinary committee should take stern action against the match officials for their wrong decisions during the match, as the video recordings of the match are easily available. Such an action will send a right message to match officials as well.

Water management
After reading the article on beer project at Ambadai, Quepem, I fully agree with the writer that the beer require six times to produce one litre of beer. The technology is available these days for the brewery management to recycle and reuse the treated effluent water and monitoring water quality and it is possible to bring down fresh water intake from various sources to half or even less. The Goa State Pollution Control Board has given clear cut guidelines for breweries, that of zero discharge, hence the treated effluent water has to be utilised within the industry partly in various departments few like in boiler as feed water, refrigeration cooling towers and even floor washing etc . Reverse osmosis is the technique for recycle and reuse.
Even the sewage treatment plant within the industry has to treat the solid waste from the toilets and the treated water is re used for flushing of toilets and excess for gardening.
