Unhygienic conditions at Ponda

Although the state government has been trying its level best to achieve the objective of ‘Nitol Goem’, we often see garbage scattered at different locations. People are accustomed to dumping garbage in open areas thereby creating unhygienic conditions for travellers and pedestrians alike. Seen in the picture is garbage adjacent to Tip-Top Mansion at Dhawali in Ponda. For years now, the practice of dumping garbage at this spot continues with ease. Two concrete dustbins that were installed here sometime back are presently missing from the area. I sincerely request the concerned authorities to arrange for regular clearance of garbage at this strategic area so that hygienic conditions are maintained at all times.
