In an attempt to enter the Limca Book of Records and also generate more interest in poetry, Kavya Hotra 2016, a 76-hour, non-stop poetry recitation is on at Kala Academy. The poetry marathon was inaugurated by Vishnu Surya Wagh, Deputy Speaker and Chairman, Kala Academy and has witnessed the participation of more than 800 poets, including about 50 Central Sahitya Akademi Awardees reciting works in different Indian languages. As part of the meet, a musical programme Goinchya Mazhya Goinkaranno was held on the second day featuring Ulhas Buyao, Pallavi Buyao, Akshada Talaulikar, Ritvik Buyao, Nirmala De, Yatin Talaulikar and Vijay Gaitonde among the group members.This is the second edition of the meet which was a huge success last year and created a record of a 52 hour long session.
