Grooving to classic tunes

If you revisit the olden times, you would notice that the music of the ’60s and ’70s was intricate and elaborate. In order to test the waters and see if there was a void for these genres of music, Classic Circus (Edition 1) by Favela was launched a month ago, and the outcome was overwhelming. Favela holds the pride of being a pioneer in bringing this good ol’ genre to Goa. The classic circus got the audience grooving in large numbers and was a huge success due to which, Classic Circus 2 has come to be.

The show promises to be different from the first, as it has evolved into something far bigger and better and will keep evolving as the show goes on. A guitar player and 2 backing vocals are added this edition, to bring in a concert-style performance and to give the audiences a better more rich experience.

Every Classic Circus promises its rendition of newer songs and will cover a vast genre of music right from musical virtuosos like Micheal Jackson, Luther Vandross, Ray Charles, Cliff Richard, Phil Collins and many more.

Classic circus is extremely grateful and proud of all the musicians and singers who have have been endowed with exceptional talent and who constantly give back what they have been given.

In our efforts to understand Raul’s achievements, the crowd sees him as he sees himself- a musical craftsman who has created a new kind of a classic retro show, experimenting to capture the vagaries of his love for the music of the mid-1960s, with his peers singing along to the good old classics.

The band consists of Daryl on the piano, Diego on the bass, Jonathan on the drums Jules on the guitar and Anika and Jinny singing to accompany Raul on the lead vocals.

If you want to tap your feet to the music of the 60s and the Classics, this show is for you!Classic circus will be showcased at Favela in Baga from 9 pm onwards this Sunday the 23rd June.
