The eighth edition of Portuguese Film Festival organized by Semana Da Cultura Indo-Portuguesa (Goa) kick-started at Maquinez Palace, Panaji on October 7 with the screening of Cinzento e Negro (Grey and Black) by Luis Filipe Rocha. The festival will continue till October 9. Like previous celebrations, this time around too the Semana da Cultura Indo Portuguesa celebrations will celebrate Indian Portuguese culture like art, music, poetry, cuisine, cinema and more.

For lovers of heritage and nature, here is a site you should not miss. Located in Bicholim, North Goa, are the age-old rock-cut caves dating back to 6th century. They are popularly know as the 'Pandava Caves'. As the myth goes, it is believe that the 5 Pandav brothers, from the Mahabharatha, found refuge in these laterite rock caves during their exile.
