Panaji: The Goa State Committee of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has urged Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to extend the services of Director of Agriculture Sandeep Phal Dessai and SSSKL Administrator Rajesh Dessai, who are set to retire on March 31, 2026.
In a representation, AITUC said both officials have played a key role in efforts to revive the Sanjeevani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana at Darbandora, which employs over 200 workers.
The union expressed concern that their retirement could affect ongoing restructuring work at the cooperative sugar factory and lead to a setback in its revival process.
