BICHOLIM: Burglars stole cash of about Rs 10,000 from the fund box after breaking into the Mahadev temple at Ladfe-Bicholim late Sunday night.
The burglary came to light when the temple priest arrived at the temple for his daily pooja and found the main door broken. The police rushed to the site to conduct a panchanama and pressed a police dog squad into service. The fund box was found thrown by the roadside near the temple.
In this regard, the temple committee president Vishnu Malik has lodged a police complaint at the Bicholim police station and the police is investigating the case.
