PANAJI: Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) organised a book release function at St. Christopher’s Church, Tivim, where two Konkani books by Annie de Colvale were unveiled in the presence of literature enthusiasts. The books include “Ghostachem Rand Ruchin Jev,” a Goan recipe collection in Roman Konkani published by DKA, and “Jivit Ek Pustok,” a poetry collection published by the author. Writers Vincy Quadros and Irene Cardozo spoke on the respective works.
Chief Guest Celso Fernandes, former DKA president, praised the Akademi’s efforts in promoting Romi Konkani and urged people to develop reading and writing habits. Guest of Honour Fr. Francisco Fernandes lauded the author’s contribution to Konkani literature. DKA President Fr. Myron Jeson Barreto encouraged greater readership, while Secretary Agnelo Borim welcomed the gathering. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
