PANAJI: Goa will mark the 59th anniversary of the historic Opinion Poll on January 16 with a commemorative programme organised by Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott in collaboration with Konkani Basha Mandal and the Department for Official Language. The event will begin at 4 pm at Gomant Vidya Niketan. Former MLAs Uday Bhembre and Radharao Gracias will share their experiences and speak on challenges ahead for Goa and Goans. Konkani Basha Mandal will also present legendary songs sung by Ulhas Buyav that were used to mobilise people against the merger.
