CANACONA
A man hailing from Uttar Pradesh was arrested on charges of trading with e-cigarettes at Char-Rasta. According to Canacona police, Pushkar Mishra was in possession of 8 boxes of e-cigarettes below the highway underpass near Char-Rasta in Nagarcem-Canacona. The boxes contained 74 small e-cigarettes packets, all valued at Rs 18,500. The accused was reportedly looking for prospective customers to sell the e-cigarettes when the police picked up the accused for interrogation and confiscated the e-cigarettes. During investigation, Canacona police arrested the accused under Section 7 of Prohibition of Electronic Cigarette Act 2019 and Canacona PSI Ramdas Doifode is conducting further investigation.
