CANACONA
To mark the completion of one year of Ram Prathistapana at Ayodhya, a procession was staged by Ram devotees in Canacona on Wednesday.The procession which started from Bhumipurush Devasthan at Palolem, proceeded to Chaudi Maruti Mandir and went to Shristhal Mallikarjuna Devalaya, visited Partagal Math, and passed through Galgibag, Talpona, via Mangan, Rajbagh-Tarir, and Patnem, Colomb, before culminating back at Palolem. On this occasion, the Devasthan committee and Ram devotees worshipped the idol of Shri Ram during the procession at various places. Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar visited the statue of Shri Ram, while former BJP block presidents Vishal Desai and Nandeep Bhagat, ex-BJP Yuwa Sangh President Pankaj Naik Gaonkar, BJP Canacona mandal ex-general secretary Diwakar Pagi, and others participated in the procession.
