PANAJI: Lighthouse, an archdiocesan centre offering books, religious articles and gifts, will open a new centre at the Institute Piedade building near the main SBI branch in Panaji on August 24. The centre will be inaugurated by Archbishop of Goa Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao in the presence of Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Purificacao Fernandes and other dignitaries. Lighthouse offers religious and devotional items, including statues, crucifixes, rosaries, spiritual and prayer books, gifts for Baptisms, First Holy Communions and weddings, and altar supplies such as candles and incense. Fr Jovial Fernandes, in-charge of Lighthouse, said the centre aims to provide a welcoming space for people seeking faith-related resources, gifts and religious articles. Lighthouse also has branches in Margao and Vasco, besides a store at the Basilica of Bom Jesus.
