PANAJI: Panaji Circle 353 of the Catenian Association celebrated its 200th Circle Meeting on August 15 with a Thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration and fellowship gathering. The celebrations began with a Eucharistic Celebration at the Chapel in the Archbishop’s House, with Bishop Emeritus Aleixo Dias as the Principal Celebrant. He was assisted by Fr José Baptist, Fr Walter DeSa, Fr Tony Alemao and Fr Mario Souza. The Circle 353 Choir, led by Maestro Schubert Cotta, provided the music. The 200th Circle Meeting and Fellowship Reception were later held at Salle 59 Banquet Hall at Kadamba Plateau. Brothers and their spouses from Catenian Circles across Goa, as well as visiting members from Mangaluru, Belagavi and Mumbai, attended.
President Bro Braulio Fernandes said the occasion was not just a numerical milestone but a celebration of the friendships and bonds built over the years. The programme included the cutting of a commemorative cake by the President and Past Presidents, a Mando presentation by Schubert Cotta, Mexcy Cotta and their group, and entertainment by The Riffs Duo Ensemble. Founder President Eurico Noronha led the prayers before the meal, followed by the hymn ‘Bind Us Together’. Visiting Brothers were presented with commemorative table coasters featuring the Catenian logo and details of the 200th meeting.
