As part of its Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, the Kurtarkar Greens Ganeshotsav Mandal has announced the South Goa Solo Dance Competition, to be held on August 29 from 7.30 pm onwards at Kurtarkar Greens Co-operative Housing Society, Aquem-Baixo, Shantinagar, Navelim, Salcete. The competition is open to participants below 16 years of age. According to the organisers, contestants will be required to carry their own costumes and props. Music tracks must be submitted on a pen drive to the organisers before the competition begins. Each participant will be allotted six minutes to perform. Registrations must be completed by August 27, and no late entries will be accepted. Winners will be announced on the same day following the event. The top three performers will receive cash prizes: Rs 3,000 for the first prize, Rs 2,000 for the second prize, and Rs 1,000 for the third prize. For registration, contact 9923398816 or 8805896885.
