Thirty trainee sub-officers from four states have completed the 53rd External Sub-Officers Course at the Goa State Fire Force Training Centre at St Inez. The five-month course, conducted under the Ministry of Home Affairs, brought together personnel from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Bihar. DFES Director Nitin Raiker urged the graduating officers to take their learnings back to their respective states and share the expertise with colleagues in the fire services. A statement issued by the Department of Fire & Emergency Services stated that the training began on January 13 and was designed to equip future fire officers with critical theoretical and practical knowledge in modern fire and emergency response.
