The Shyam Benegal Film Festival will be inaugurated at the hands of veteran writer Damodar Mauzo with the screening of film ‘Trikaal’ at Ravindra Bhavan Margao on May 30 at 6.30 pm. Neena Gupta who has acted in this film was to attend the inaugural ceremony, but she will not be available, said Rajendra Talak, chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Margao. Damodar Mauzo is a scriptwriter and dialogue writer, and has contributed to the films ‘Alesha’, ‘Sood’, ‘Shitu’, ‘O Maria’ and the upcoming film ‘Claudia’. Film ‘Sardari Begum’ will be screened on May 31 in the presence of musician Ashok Patki and singer Aarti Ankalikar Tikekar. On June 1, ‘Mummo’ film will be screened in the presence of the main characters in the film, Rajat Kapoor. After the film screening the audience will get an opportunity to interact with the artist, singer and musician.
Entry passes have been arranged for the audience and will be available between 10 am to 5 pm at the office of the Ravindra Bhavan, said Talak.
