PANAJI: Instituto Camões (Panaji), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Portugal in Goa and the Camões-Centro de Língua Portuguesa, will host an art exhibition titled ‘Os Rostos de Camões’ from June 20 to August 2 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Portuguese poet Luis de Camões (1524–1580). Curated by Savia Viegas, the exhibition will be open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5.30 pm, and will feature works by eight Goan artists including Francis Desousa, Nishant Saldanha, Shailesh Dabholkar, and others. The show reflects on Camões’ life and writings, shaped by his years in Goa during a period of exile beginning in 1554.
