Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has said that champions are those who strive for better things in society. Koshiyari was speaking as a chief guest after conferring the prestigious awards to winners at a Champions of Change Award ceremony organized by Champions of Change Awards Foundation Delhi at Dona Paul, Panaji on Friday.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant congratulating the winners of the award said they have strived to contribute towards the betterment of society. He appreciated Ayush Minister, Shripad Naik for working to bring change during his 20 years of successful political carrier. He received an award in the category of Social Service.
The jury for Champions of Change Awards Justice K G Balakrishnan also spoke on the occasion.
Others who received the Awards were Sonu Nigam, Hema Sardesai, Vipul Goel, Suresh Jain in the social service category. The awards were also conferred in categories of health care, entrepreneurship, film production, spiritual awakening, author culture.
