PANAJI: Under the Goa government’s flagship scheme, 30 students have been selected on merit to receive the Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholar for the academic year 2024–25. The scheme supports bright students who want to pursue post-graduation and PhD studies, including research work, in recognised institutions in India and abroad. A total of 185 students had applied for the scholarship. Shortlisted candidates were called for interviews, and after checking their documents, marks and assignments, the selection committee chose 30 students as eligible for the ‘Goa Scholar’ scheme. These students will continue their higher studies and research in approved institutions in India and overseas.
