Seven councillors of the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) on Monday moved a no-confidence motion against Chairperson Shantaram Kolvekar.
The motion has been signed by councillors Vishwanath Dalvi, Virendra Dhavalikar, Yatish Savkar, Archana Naik Dangui, Anand Naik, William Aguiar and Ritesh Naik.
The councillors have claimed that the chairperson has not been taking them into confidence while taking the decisions and they have sought an immediate discussion on the resolution. Incidentally, the no-confidence motion has been signed by 7 of the 15 councillors and it is left to be seen if the aggrieved group of councillors can get the support of another councillor to be successful in their motion.
