Robotics vacation camp held for village students

PANAJIUzoorba Technologies LLP, based at Chorao island, recently organised a 5-day hands on robotics vacation camp for 75 students of the 2 local schools (ie Dayanand High School and St Bartholomew's High School) of Chorao from October 18-22. This camp was organised under Uzoorba’s Goa-2-Mars robotics education programme underway at these 2 schools since July 22. Over Rs 5 lacs worth of components, computers, equipment, tools etc were made available for the students to learn useful skills (beyond coding) as groundwork for Goa’s future engineers. Uzoorba founder, Vincent Toscano, was the Lead Instructor for the camp supported by Technical Expert, Alston Fernandes, and other volunteers hailing from Chorao, Ponda, Mardol and Mumbai. Topics covered included 3D Printing and its varied applications, Electricity and its Types, Types of Circuits – Parallel vs Series and Safety precautions while working with electronics & electricity.
