The Directorate of Art and Culture will organise a state-level Crib Competition from December 26 to 31.
According to a press note issued by Deputy Director of Art and Culture Ashok Parab, the Crib Competition will be organised in two categories, Institutions/Group (Cribs made by institutions, clubs, parishes or by a group of people) and Individuals/Households (Cribs made at a house or beside the house by an individual or within a family). Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes along with a certiï¬cate.
Prizes for the Institution/Group Category are Rs 25,000 (first prize), Rs 20,000 (second prize), Rs 15,000 (third prize) and five consolation prizes of Rs 7,000 each. Prizes for the Individuals/Household Category are Rs 15,000 (first), Rs 10,000 (second), Rs 7,500 (third) and five consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each.
Individuals and associations interested in participating in the Crib Competition may collect application forms from December 16 to 21 from the office of the Directorate of Art and Culture (Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji), Ravindra Bhavan (Margao), Ravindra Bhavan (Curchorem), Ravindra Bhavan (Baina-Vasco), Ravindra Bhavan (Sankhali), Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir (Ponda) and submit the duly filled forms on or before December 21 at the above mentioned offices during working hours. The form charges are Rs 10 and late entries will not be entertained.
