Neflee Fernandes, Sarzora, past student of Assumpta is studying medicine at GMC Bambolim. She was presented with cash award and citation in memory of Dr Alvaro Loyola Furtado as a exemplary student hailing from Freguesia de Chinchinim.
It was presented by Eng AX Esmeraldo Gomes along with Anthony Viegas and her family members at her residence.
The initiative for honouring the student with this memorial award was taken Prof CA Gomes. Briefly the achievements of Dr Alvaro Loyola Furtado as a sincere and much sought after medical practioner, writer and politician were highlighted by Eng Esmeraldo. Anthony Viegas congratulated Neflee for her achievement. The function began by invoking God's blessings.
