Despite the pandemic, this year during Ganesh Chaturthi various competitions were organised in Goa and the public participation was in large numbers. In the fourth edition of the Makhar, Matoli and Pataka competition organised on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi by the Dharbandora Panchayat, many of the participants had designed their artwork based on the corona theme. Deu Shetkar from Pilaye had used 104 fruits to create a design on the corona theme and written 'Go, Corona, Go'. Rohit Gaonkar from Pansule gave a message to wear masks through Pataka. Vedang Gaonkar from Tamsado Dharbandora decorated makhar on a dry guava tree. Many of the contestants had presented different concepts through their artwork. The first prize for Makhar decoration was given to Vedang Gaonkar, second to Kalpesh Kerkar and third to Akash Narvekar. The consolation prizes were given to Ajay Gaonkar, Prashant Gaonkar, Jayendra Gaonar, Sarvesh Gaonkar and Saish Khatekar.The first prize in Matoli contest was bagged by Deu Shetkar, second by Rupesh Gaonkar, third by Yogesh Kerkar, and consolation prizes were pocketed by Kalidas Gaonkar, Ajay Gaonkar, Rohit Khutkar, Raghunath Gaonkar, Chandrakant Gaonkar and Gurudas Borkar.
