A team from Crime Branch (CB) left for Hyderabad (Telangana) on Monday in connection with a probe into a drug bust that saw the arrest of a Secundrabad youth on October 11.
Yeshwant Reddy was caught red-handed peddling MDMA in the coastal village of Siolim and confessed to his interrogators the names of four traffickers from Hyderabad, who supplied the synthetic contraband to him during his trip to Goa. The CB decided to head for Hyderabad.
“We are coordinating with the Hyderabad police to assist us in the probe. Our team is shortly leaving for Hyderabad,” SP Nidhin Valsan had told The Goan.
This is the second case, in the recent past, wherein a Hyderabad native is caught peddling drugs in Goa.
