PANAJI: The Padma Bhushan Manohar Parrikar Memorial 55th Goa State Athletics Championship will be held from August 8 to 10, at the Athletics Stadium in Bambolim.
Over 1500 athletes from across Goa, ranging from U-8 to Men & Women categories, will compete in 170 events. More than 700 medals will be awarded to winners.
Athletes above 12 years must register with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) online for ₹510. Athletes belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) group can register for ₹110.
Entry fees for participation vary by age group. Top performers will be selected to represent Goa in West Zone and National Championships organised by AFI.
Javelin throw participants must report on August 7 due to the event coinciding with Niraj Chopra's historic gold medal anniversary at the Tokyo Olympics.
