The second edition of Prinseps exhibition, ‘Bharat Through the Lens of Bhanu Athaiya’ curated by Brijeshwari Kumari Gohil will commence on December 8 and remain open till January 1 at Aguada from 10 am to 8 pm. There would be more than 50 exhibits of works by Bhanu Athaiya, including personal heirloom textile pieces, oil and water paintings, sketches and costumes designed for films will be showcased. There would be two talks too. On December 13, fashion journalist Sujata Assmoull will be in conversation with veteran actor Zeenat Aman exploring the groundbreaking contributions of Bhanu Athaiya and Zeenat Aman as trailblazers who broke stereotypes with their creative prowess. The discussion will delve into design trends of their time, reflecting on how costume design has evolved in cinema over the years. The second talk will be on December 16 wherein art critic and curator Gayatri Sinha will focus on how Indian artists began to discover and rediscover India and create unique styles in the process.
