Tanveer Saudagar was appointed as the Congress minority block president and Shankar Tandel was appointed the youth president of Vasco constituency. Addressing media persons in Vasco, Congress Minority Cell Chairman Nazir Khan welcomed Saudagar and Tandel in the Congress party in the presence of former Mormugao Municipal Council chairperson and Vasco congress ledaer Nandadeep Raut and others. “This is for the first time that the Minority Cell had been appointing individual minority block presidents in every constituency. I took the initiative to have a state minority committee which was approved by AICC Minority Chairman Imran Pratapgarhi. Vasco is the fifth constituency to have its own minority block president,” said Khan. Stating that his appointment as the minority block president was a big day in his life, Saudagar assured to work by taking all minorities and Hindus into confidence. Tandel assured to motivate youth to work for the Congress and to dislodge the BJP government in the State.
