Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte stated that the former Chief Minister of Goa late Manohar Parrikar has started cyberage students scheme the main idea of which was equality in education. But unfortunately this cyberage scheme was later scrapped by the government and the students from poor families faced lot of difficulties when online learning commenced during covid pandemics . There is a need to start this cyberage scheme again. He was speaking at Salai at the function organised by Porvorim Rising to felicitate the students who secured more than 75% of marks at the SSC and 12th examination of Goa Board MLA Rohan Khaunte further mentioned that online teaching is a challenge.The guest of honour the former director of Higher education Bhaskar Nayak stated that students should not depend upon government jobs but should stand on their own feet. One should work hard to achieve one's goal in life, need to be excellent in whatever field you choose, said Nayak. Sujeet Dongre spoke on environment and biodiversity. Earlier Khaunte lighted the traditional lamp. Around 200 students who excelled in Xth and XII examinations of Goa Board were felicitated. Sameer Sakhalkar compered the programme.
