The Chimbel Sub Health Centre (SHC), which has been moved out of the village, could find its way back in Chimbel, as it has been decided to set up the SHC in the unoccupied premises of the Old Age Home.
The decision was taken after officials from the PWD, Provedoria, Chimbel panchayat and others conducted inspection of the Old Age Home on Monday.
It may be recalled that The Goan had highlighted that the SHC had to be moved to BSNL Quarters, Bambolim as the Std 10 classes resumed in Kirlawada School, from where the SHC was temporarily functioning from June.
PWD Superintending Surveyor of Works Mhapne, AE Volvoikar, Chimbel PHC Medical Officer Dr Jude D’Souza, Chimbel panchayat authorities and others were present for the inspection.
