The Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, in association with Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College, SETHU and the Down Syndrome Federation will hold an event ‘Different Abilities, One Community’ to celebrate individuals with Down Syndrome and ADHD. This Down Syndrome Fun Day will be held at Gracia De Orta Garden, near Panaji Church from 4 pm to 7.30 pm on November 30.‘Different Abilities, One Community’ reflects our vision of an inclusive society where everyone is celebrated for their unique abilities. This event is not just a day of fun and joy but also a reminder of the strength we find in diversity. We warmly welcome everyone to join us in fostering a sense of belonging, support, and unity for individuals with Down syndrome and ADHD and their families," stated Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities. There will be interactive stalls of games, crafts, and mehandi designing to engage participants of all ages, face painting to bring colours of joy to every face, music and dance as well as a zumba session.
