GCCI Education Committee recently organized two webinars for the benefit of faculty and students, and towards the fulfilment of their mission of academia-industry collaboration, as outlined under the chairmanship of Prof Raghuveer Vernekar and around 300 people participated in them. The first webinar on pharmacy and science subgroups included Dr Praveen Khullar (managing committee member GCCI and president GPMA), Pallavi Arondekar (deputy director, GCCI), Dr Gopal Krishna Rao (principal and dean, Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji), Dr S N Mamle Desai (principal, PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy, Ponda), Prof Bernard Rodrigues (department of Botany, Goa University) and Dr Vrinda Borkar (principal, Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Panaji) participated in the webinar on pharmacy and science.
The second webinar by engineering and architecture subgroup included Neena Panandikar (principal, DBCE Fatorda), Pallavi Arondekar (deputy director, GCCI), Gautam Raj (plant head “ MRF), Arman Bankley (CMD, Armines and director GSIDC) and Vijay Thomas (CEO Tangentia).
The engineering and architecture subgroups webinar was on the theme ‘Forging collaboration with industry-academic and industry partnerships’ by Gaurav Ghelani, regional head of Academic Interface Program, TCS, Bengaluru. The pharmacy and science subgroup was was on the theme ‘Data integrity by digitalisation for compliance’ by industry speakers Suhas Patil and Yashwant Phadke.
