The Mandrem Panchayat recently felicitated a local girl Sachi Sawant who won the second runners-up at a national level beauty pageant organised by KIIT Nanhi Pari - Little Miss India at Bhuvaneshwar in Odisha. Sarpanch Amit Sawant, panch Prashant Naik, Kiran Sawant, Miguel Fernandes, Robert Fernandes, Chetana Pednekar and Sampada Asgaonkar were present on the occasion. While felicitating Sachi, the Sarpanch assured that whenever Sachi travels to other states to participated in any contest, the panchayat would bear her expense. Sachi who lives at Marathwada-Mandrem represented Goa in a contest that saw 28 girls from various states in India. The teenager has won many prizes in various fields of dance, sports, education, elocution contests and recently won the title of ‘Miss Teen Goa 2022’ at the age of 16. A B Production, a modelling agency in Goa organises Miss Goa pageant every year and Sachi had participated in it this year.
