On the occasion of Vocation Sunday, celebrated across the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman on September 20, the families of priests and religious from Mapusa were invited to a special gathering organised by parishioners of St Jerome’s Church, Mapusa.
The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass. A meaningful prayer service was conducted, followed by a warm welcome to the families by the parish priest, Fr Tomas Lobo, who acknowledged their sacrifices in offering their sons and daughters to the service of God and the Church. The Catechism children presented the skit “Mhoje Sovem Rigun Ravat”, highlighting the family as the cradle of vocations. The newly formed Parish Choir of Mapusa presented “Follow Me”, composed and arranged by Fr Lobo, while the Children’s Choir performed “Jezu Apoita”, also composed by him. Dolorosa Fernandes, Moderator of the Parish Pastoral Council, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
