With an aim to promote and preserve biodiversity, the Gaondongrim Panchayat and village Bio-Diversity Management Committee will organise a Matoli decoration competition in the village. “The contests are open to all individual households and Sarvajanik mandals celebrating Ganesh Utsav (Festival) and the theme will be 'Our Nature Our Responsibility’,” said Sarpanch Suman Gaonkar. A team of judges will visit the houses of participants who submit entry for the competition on September 10 and 11.Households and Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal’s interested in participating in the contest are requested to confirm their entry on or before September 9 to the Gaondongrim sarpanch (Ph: 9404448470) or Anand Gaonkar (Ph: 9423414168). Three prizes will be awarded in each of the categories of household and Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav.
