The National Workshop on Acting was inaugurated at the Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji on November 7. This seven-day workshop is organised by Nirmala Institute of Education (Alumni Association and IQAC cell) in association with Abhivyaktee “ Panaji from November 7 to November 13. The inaugural ceremony began in the presence of Dr Chandradasan, facilitator of the workshop, Sandip Deshpande, president of Abhivyaktee, Sr Filomena D’Souza, representative of Nirmala Education Society, Ximena Fonseca, Associate Professor. At the onset of the function, Sr Filomena D’Souza welcomed the participants and addressed the role played by dramatics and theatre in creating awareness and educating masses over various sensitive topics.Ximena Fonseca highlighted the need for performing arts in the field of education. She added that Nirmala Institute of Education is the first education college to recruit a full-time professor in the field of Visual Arts and Performing Arts.
Anagha Deshpande Assistant Professor, Performing Arts has organised several workshops in Theatre Arts via the online and offline mode.
