PANAJI: Goa’s National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) will mark its 25th Foundation Day with a Silver Jubilee celebration from April 3, 2025. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the event, which includes a Polar and Ocean Science exhibition, a virtual tour of India’s first Polar and Ocean Museum, and the release of a Philatelic Catalogue on India’s Antarctic journeys. Kaamya Karthikeyan, the youngest female to complete the Seven Summits challenge, will hold an interactive session. The celebrations continue on April 4 with expert lectures and experience sharing. The exhibition will be open to the public from April 4“5, between 10 AM and 5:30 PM. On April 5, lectures and panel discussions will conclude with a special Foundation Day lecture, ‘Frozen Frontiers and Rising Oceans’, by renowned Antarctic glaciologist Dr Kenny Matsuoka.
