The city is caught in a web of big garbage mess. It has oneof the best road networks in the state, but acute parking problem has citizenstearing their hair off. Chaotic underground pipeline network has given itsresidents a health scare a couple of times. The less said about the conditionof the inter-state bus stand the better.

“Although he spentmuch of his term as an opposition MLA, it does not take away his responsibilityto find a solution to various key issues the city is facing,” said Manoy Joshi,a resident of Panjim.
The casinos stationed in the middle of river Mandovi havealso ruffled up the feathers of a section of the public.
“Casinos have been quietly dumping waste in river Mandovithereby polluting the river. The monstrous vessels parked right in the middleof the river have spoiled the beauty of the city,” an enraged Joshi said.
Garbage is one major issue which has been haunting the cityfor the last several years. “It’s auniversal law that you should treat your garbage in your town. A solution shouldbe found out at the earliest” said Gayatri Bhingee a law student from Panjim.
Water contamination has been a major headache amongst thePanjimites. Chaotic underground pipelines and lack of coordination amongdifferent departments led to delays in finding quick solutions. “There is needto form coordination committees of all service providers headed by the CCP,”said High Court lawyer Samir Bandodkar.
According to Gayatri Bhingee the only option to resolveparking woes is to notify certain places for parking and provisions be made formulti-storied parking in the city.

Chief MinisterManohar Parrikar said that he will answer all issues concerning Panjim onlyafter the completion of one year. “I will answer all your questions on Panjimcity only after one year,” Parrikar told The Goan.
